Here We Go....Again

Many of you know my daughter returned from her deployment in Afghanistan this past year and this momma was finally able to breathe.....
I mean really breathe.
I am talking about deep breaths that exhaled with joy and gladness.

As a military mom, I am extremely proud of her service to our country....
For her bravery.....
Her honor....
Her self scarifies.

But on the flip side, as her mom......
I worry to a point.....
I am concerned for her welfare at all times.....
I pray non-stop for her safety.....
I smile on cue, for her benefit....
I make sure I give her encouraging words.....
Never showing her my "mom" emotions.
And I tell her " I love you" every second that I can.

My best day came when I received that all mighty pre recorded phone call that MY solider was heading to US soil.....
There was tears, laughter, thankfulness, and praise to my daddy God for bringing her home.

Now  almost one year later, I receive a message from my beautiful solider girl......
She is going again..............
No specific date has been set....
No exact location been said.....
Just the word the "deployment" and I am holding my breath......

Here we go...Again.

Again.......
I will believe in HIS protection over her.....
I will believe in HIS wisdom in her.....
I will believe in HIS promises for her life......
I BELIEVE she will come home again without one hair removed from her head!!!!!

I am a mom, with mom emotions.....
However I am first and foremost a child of the Most High God....
And I STAND on His word and His promises!!!!!

.

Proverbs 18:10 - The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.

Psalm 121:2 - My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Psalm 121:3 - He will not let your foot slip--he who watches over you will not slumber.

Psalm 121:7 - The Lord will keep you from all harm--he will watch over your life;

Psalm 121:8 - The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and for evermore.

Psalm 27:1 - [Of David.] The Lord is my light and my salvation--whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 91:4- He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wing you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

 Again......
I will proudly take out my "blue star flag" and when the time comes,  place in in the window for all to see until I ,again receive my pre-recorded call.

My daddy God has spoken many promises to me over my girls......
And I expect them ALL to be full filled.

She will come home safe and sound....
She is my baby......
She is His child.......
A mighty, beautiful warrior for His kingdom!!!

 And Again......I will Stand.

  1. This is difficult for a mother regardless if it is a son or daughter. Our daughter was stationed in Korea many years ago, and she was in a safe position, but we still did not like her so far away. Angels are watching over your daughter and May she be surrounded by a host and not just the two that we usually have assigned to us. :-)

Touching The Hem Of His Garment

It's day 6 of my 21 day fast and I have discovered just how much I have relied on social media for my daily encouragement. It's so easy , one click of my mouse and it's there for me to see. A short cut of sorts, a quick fix in a world , my world, that is constantly moving and changing. But when I dig into my daddy Gods word, when I take the time to seek Him, the encouragement is more....So much more. Today I am encouraged by the woman who suffered with the issue of blood. For 12 years she suffered a life of misery and in her culture was considered  unclean. It was a chronic condition which means she probably had anemia as well as  physical weakness. She was hopelessly incurable by the many doctors she had sought out for medical care. She had become destitute for she spent all that she had. Everything and everyone who she would come in contact with would have become ceremonially unclean making her shunned by all in society including her family. Her husband probably

Her Son.....Our Saviour

This is a post I wrote 4 years ago  (4/8/12) on  "Shakin' the Foundation" blog site. I share it every Easter. I pray it ministers to your hearts.  **************************************************************************** As Easter approaches, I have been thinking alot about Jesus' time here on earth. We have all heard of his birth, his teachings, his signs, wonders and miracles. For the most part, we have been taught his life story from those who had the honor of walking daily with him, from those who witnessed every aspect of his life here. However today I am seeing his life through a mother's eyes....... Mary's eyes.....  As a mom myself, I can feel her joy when she looked into the eyes of her precious son. The miracle that she had been chosen to give birth to. That sweet precious baby boy that sometimes would fall down while playing, the one that cried out to her to pick him up..... Can you imagine looking into those beautiful eyes knowing wh

Getting My Hinds Feet

Several months ago I received a word from my daddy God telling me He was giving me hinds feet! I became so excited and thrilled not realizing what I was to go through to receive these promised hinds feet. In my mind, I saw it happening all at once.... No more would I struggle to get to the places I was called to go.... I would go leaping and bounding across all the boulders in my path.... There would no longer be traps and snares in my path.... I was climbing my mountain with my new hinds feet!!! But wait....... I now face more trials..... Heavier loads..... More stress..... More obstacles..... Loneliness that is unexplainable..... I look down and I do not see "hinds feet". I see crippled, hurting feet. ~sigh~ I do not understand.... I can't comprehend this journey.... I was promised hinds feet and I now appear to be stumbling my way over these now larger boulders in my path. I want my promised "hinds feet"......
