Forget Me Not......

Photo Credit: Caleb George     Hannah was one of two wives to Elkanah. Though her husband loved her greatly, scripture tells us her womb was closed. She watched year after year her rival , Peninnah give birth to many sons and daughters. Every year when time came to go up and make an offering to the Lord, her husband gave her a double portion. Peninnah provoked her for her barren womb and she, Hannah, wept.   1Samuel 1:8 Then Elkanah her husband  said to her; " Hannah , why do you weep? Why do you not eat? And why is your heart grieved? Am I not better to you than ten sons?"   I can only imagine how Hannah must have felt. Her emotions misunderstood by her husband, taunted by another and forgotten by God. Or so she thought.   God's timing is never our own. I have my seasons it seems the womb of life is closed to me.  The desires I want, needs I believe should be handled instantly, cries I ...

Provision In The Unknown

In reading the book of Isaiah I have been fixated on  Isaiah 60:1-22. Here it speaks of the prophetic promises of restoration and the hope for Israel while in captivity.  I began to think about the promised restorations for my life and what has held me captive.  One in particular has been my financial struggles over the years, robbing Peter to pay Paul maneuvers , but then again who hasn't had a struggle such as that from time to time? Stress has its own special way of showing up out of no where.  It is famous for sneaking in on me during the midnight hour. I wake up to find sub consciously I have been grinding ...

A Beautiful Reminder

Psalm 85:8 8  I will hear what God the Lord will speak, For He will speak peace To His people and to His saints; But let them not turn back to folly. I had not been able to understand why I had  been feeling like something was wrong...... The feeling that something was about to happen...... Not knowing what that something could be. I questioned where did I belong...... What was the whole picture as to why I was moved in the first place?  I understand it was partly a time of healing..... Part of it was a spiritual protection .... ( a daddy protecting his daughter from herself)  And then partly to slowly have me deal with the root of my inter pain that had swallowed me up for most of my life..... Rejection. One would think with all these "parts" I'd have the whole picture right?  Ehhh not so much.  There is more to it...... Much more.  I had not been able to find the right words for the feelings ...
